What is embroidery digitizing?

Embroidery digitizing is the process by which an image is converted into an embroidery pattern that embroidery machines read to stitch out a design or logo.  Using embroidery software, all elements and shapes in a design are digitized by hand.  Experience plays a big factor in creating quality embroidery designs that look nice and sew out smoothly.

What file format do you need my logo in to digitize?

You can send us your logo or design in any file format you have but the most common file type is a jpeg file.

What if I want my logo digitized for the back of a shirt or jacket?

We can also digitize large embroidery designs, however they do take longer and cost more.  Large back of shirt embroidery designs cost $50 for designs up to 50,000 stitches.  If the design goes over 50,000 stitches, the additional cost is $1 for every 1,000 stitches over.  For example, if the designs ends up having 75,000 stitches, the cost would be $75USD.

Do you help with troubleshooting and/or design edits?

We will help you troubleshoot your embroidery production issues as much as we can.  If the embroidery design requires editing due to a digitizing error, we will edit it for free.

What is a vector file?

A vector file is a scalable, editable graphic composed of geometrically shaped objects.  The design can be scaled up to any size without losing resolution and each individual object in the file if fully editable.  Since vector files do not contain pixels, they don’t pixelate or become blurry like bitmap images do when scaled.  In the apparel decorating industry, vector files are used for screen printing, digital printing and vinyl cutting applications.  A vector file can be “saved as” or exported as any other type of file format such as jpeg, png and PDF using a graphics program.  Commonly used file extensions for vector files are EPS and SVG.
